ABOUT

Growing up in Atlanta, I have always had a strong love for food and art. I adored going to museums and spending time in the kitchen with my family. I enjoyed going out to restaurants and experiencing different cultures through taste. The way the museum would present different artworks made me feel as if I understood the artists, the work and, the historical context. With art and food having a broad history and a diverse range of topics, I wanted to combine my love for both. This blog revolves around artworks and artists relating to dishes. I pick an art piece and I cook a meal inspired by that piece. It won’t always be a meal I cook, sometimes I go out and pick a meal relating to the piece. Other times I switch and pick a piece of artwork that relates to a dish. I founded Mai: Art & Food with a mission to allow food lovers and art lovers to connect along with allowing people to grow their knowledge in these fields..Throughout this blog, I explore the history of art, artists, and food. I hope you are able to explore this journey with me ♡

Take some time to explore the blog, read something interesting, and feel free to reach out if you would like to collaborate on a project together.

Roald Dahl

“I began to realize how important it was to be an enthusiast in life. He taught me that if you are interested in something, no matter what it is, go at it at full speed ahead. Embrace it with both arms, hug it, love it and above all become passionate about it. Lukewarm is no good. Hot is no good either. White hot and passionate is the only thing to be.”
